Located at the foothills of the Himalayas in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, Rishikesh is the 7th largest town in Uttarakhand. It's also called the" gateway to the Himalayas". This town is a well-known sightseer spot and a major pilgrimage location for Hindus. The river Ganges flows through the city of Gangshikesh and is well-known for it's various temples and yoga lamaseries. Rishikesh is one of the many places in India that offers a lot of adventure sports to it's callers. With the city of Haridwar just a few miles south of Har Rishikesh, the place is also considered a ‘ holy city ’ and vegetarian.
