The main priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, was really happy on Tuesday. Many people came to Ayodhya to see Ram Lalla after the temple doors were opened for everyone. He said Ayodhya now feels like the time when Lord Ram used to live, a very long time ago. It's a special time for the town.
"After the Pran Pratishtha, Ayodhya has become pure. It's like in the Treta Yug when Lord Ram came back, and everyone in Ayodhya was so happy. It feels a bit like that now. So many devotees have come to Ayodhya, and you can hear people saying 'Jai Shree Ram' everywhere. It's like we've gone back to those old times," said the chief priest.
He also mentioned that because there are so many people here today, not everyone will be able to see Lord Ram. "There's so much crowd today that not everyone can have a look today, and it will be the same for the next few days," he added.
The chief priest explained that the big crowd is because 4,000 saints came from all over the country, and each of them brought two to four people with them.
Talking about the Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Monday, Satyendra Das said that Ram Rajya, a time of peace and equality, will start with this ceremony. He believes that everyone will start treating each other with love, not just in Ayodhya but in the whole country. He hopes for a beautiful and harmonious life for everyone, saying, "Lord Ram's blessings will be with all of us."
There was an unprecedented crowd as the temple opened to the public after Lord Ram's idol consecration on Monday. People, both locals and visitors, gathered near the main gateway along the Ram Path leading to the temple complex late on Monday night, hoping to enter early the next morning.
The pathway leading to the temple, known as the 'Bhakti Path,' is filled with an unexpectedly large crowd. To handle this, the police have set up barricades and ropes.
The Ayodhya administration shared that several lakhs of people have come to the city, a number they did not expect. The entire 13-km stretch of Ram Path is crowded with people.
To ensure everyone's safety and prevent any issues, additional forces, including the Rapid Action Force (RAF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), along with the civil police, have been deployed along the Ram Path.
