Within the next two weeks, Air India Express will launch two new international services from Kerala's state capital to the Middle East. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Ltd (TIAL) announced in a release that additional flights would begin on December 1 and November 30, respectively, to Dammam in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
According to the statement, Gulf Air, which now operates seven flights per week, will be the other airline providing services between Thiruvananthapuram and Bahrain. Air India Express would be the first airline to offer services between Thiruvananthapuram and Dammam.
According to a press release, the Thiruvananthapuram-Bahrain flight would leave from here on Wednesdays and Sundays at 5:35 PM and arrive at its destination at 8:05 PM (local time).
It stated that it would leave Bahrain at 9.05 PM local time and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram at 4.25 AM. On Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 5.35 PM, a flight from Thiruvananthapuram to Dammam would leave from here and arrive at 8.25 PM (local time).
The TIAL statement also stated that it would leave at 9.25 PM (local time) and arrive here at 5.05 AM. According to TIAL, two Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a 180-passenger capacity will be deployed for the services, and booking for both trips has begun.
